Conferences
Interdisciplinary cycles, public debates, and critical reflections organized by openEugenia
Conferences at openEugenia
As part of its core mission, openEugenia regularly organizes conferences, workshops, and interdisciplinary seminars. These events bring together academic researchers, industry professionals, and citizens to discuss the societal, ethical, and cognitive impacts of emerging technologies.
While openEugenia hosts various thematic events and debate series throughout the year, a central initiative is the Cytopia framework.
The Cytopia Project
Cytopia is a broader research and discussion project initiated within openEugenia.
Core Objective: Imagining and describing more human, ethical, and responsible uses of contemporary technologies.
Rather than focusing solely on technological performance, Cytopia provides an interdisciplinary lens to question how technologies—especially Artificial Intelligence—reshape human practices, health, culture, and ethics, and how society can foster human-centered alternatives.
Under the Cytopia framework, openEugenia deploys thematic conference cycles focusing on specific domains (such as technology, ethics, society, and language).
Featured Cycle: Cycle Technology — Cytopia
The Cycle Technology is the flagship conference cycle under the Cytopia initiative. Running from April to June 2026, it creates a dedicated space for reflection, debate, and knowledge production on AI and contemporary technologies.
